“Flower Buds” was taken on a summer day at the U.S. Capitol grounds in D.C. I was honestly just taking pictures of some of the flowers beds on the east side of the building. On occasion I would see a few house sparrows fly in and out of the flower bed and at first I didn’t think to photograph them. But as I was focusing on capturing the pink and yellow flowers in one image, this little bird popped his head out. I thought I had captured a photograph of this lovely bird with a bug in his mouth but it’s part of the flower buds. Until then, I didn’t realize birds ate flower buds.
“Baby Starling” was taken on Thanksgiving Day at the National Mall in DC a few years back. I love visiting the Smithsonian Museums as they are open on Thanksgiving Day, so if you want to do a little walking around before you eat a heavy meal, DC National Mall is full of things to do. After I visited a few museums, I took a stroll down the National Mall area. Like many days I’ve visited this area, there are plenty of birds eating the leftover crumbs that have fallen on the ground by visitors. I sat by a bench, looking to my right was the Nations Capitol and to my left was the Washington Monument. As the sun started to go down, I decided to take a few pictures of the baby birds eating all of the leftover crumbs on the floor. Something about this place that is truly peaceful. There is much to see, monuments, museums, nature, you name it, it’s all there. You just have to slow down sometimes and look around you.
On a hot summer day, while visiting the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in D.C., I got a chance to watch what seemed hundreds of dragonflies of all colors flying from lotus flowers to water lilies. They seemed to have this beautiful, delicate dance as they flew from one flower to the next. Watching their translucent and iridescent wings made me think of them as colorful fairies. I was able to capture may images on this day including Red and Blue Dragonfly.
Photographing in general brings a lot of joy into my life, but I truly love photographing nature. I love sharing these experience with you through my photography so I really hope that the greeting cards brighten up your day!

Each set of cards contains a backing board to help protect your cards and envelopes from bending during shipment. I use Premium Eco Clear Bags - more Clearer, Stronger, and more Crease Resistant made from plants and compostable. I use these new Premium Eco Clear Bags to replace traditional Poly bag but the sustainability of a Eco-Friendly product.
Postal Service Priority Mail products and First-Class packages may require more time to be delivered due to limited transportation availability as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. From personal experience, I’ve shipped First Class Packages and half of them are receiving in 3 business days while the other half have taken up to two weeks to receive.
Priority Mail’s two-day and three-day service commitments will be extended to three days and four days, respectively. Customers will continue to receive product tracking.
