What Inspires Me

I am a proud first generation Latina - born and raised in Chicago, IL. Both of my parents were born and raised in Mexico, and came to the states shortly after they got married. I grew up as the youngest in a family of 3 sisters and a brother. At a very young age, I've always had a sense and desire to explore new places. Growing up in Chicago, I was exposed to many different cultures, food, and art scenes. I fell in love with city's amazing architecture, love of live street performers, art scenes, landscape, culture, music, and sight seeing. I feel very fortunate to grow up in a mixture of American and Mexican culture. I've drawn inspiration from all that I saw and lived in such an amazing city and the traditions of growing up Chicana in Chicago. I hope you will enjoy my photography and artwork.
