Each art piece are hand sculpted and hand painted with acrylic paint. It is then sealed to protect your memorial art piece from fading colors. The polymer clay pieces I make are very resistant, but do keep it away from humidity and direct heat or sunlight. One of a kind, dark, beautiful, unique gift.

HOW TO ORDER:
Turning ashes into artwork. Each lovely memorial creation art piece contains a small amount of cremation ash (about a quarter of a teaspoon) from your loved one. I can use cremation ash from people and pets into my polymer clay artwork.
To order, simply add to cart and check out. After you make the purchase, please ship out cremation ashes to Olvera Art Shop - once you place your order, you will receive an email with shipping instructions. Once I receive the ashes, please allow 3 weeks to receive your memorial art piece.
*It is important to note that you will need to pay for sending your loved one’s ashes to Olvera Art Shop. According to postal regulations, it is only permitted to send cremains via USPS Priority Express (which usually costs around $27). While I highly recommend sending via this method, I will accept cremains that arrive by other means.
SHIPPING INFORMATION:
All finished infused memorial art pieces are sent USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days) with signature; non-infused products will be sent USPS First Class (1-5 business days).
USPS instructions:
The only delivery service that can legally ship cremated remains is USPS. The USPS offers specific guidance on how to mail cremated remains, which you can find summarized below.

Inner Primary Container
- The inner primary container must be strong, durable, and constructed in such a manner as to protect and securely contain the contents inside. It must be properly sealed and sift-proof.
- Place sealed inner primary container with 1/4 teaspoon of cremains and place again in a slightly larger sift-proof container "outer shipping package" for double security. In the event the shipping label becomes detached from the outer container, the Postal Service recommends that you include a label with the complete return address and delivery address on the sealed plastic bag and the wording “Cremated Remains.”
Cushioning
Include cushioning around the inner primary container to prevent the container from being damaged or broken during transport. Bubble wrap, newspaper, packing peanuts, and other types of cushioning are acceptable.
Addressing the container
The outer container could become damaged or have the label damaged during transport, so it’s important to also address the inner primary container with the correct destination address. It’s recommended by USPS that you put the inner primary container into a sealable plastic bag and place a label with the complete return address as well as the complete delivery address on the bag. You should also write “Cremated Remains” directly on the plastic bag.
Outer shipping container
Cremated remains can only be shipped by USPS Priority Mail Express. Before you close the package, USPS recommend including another piece of paper that includes both a return address and a delivery address, just in case.
Labeling the package
The outer shipping container has to be marked with the Cremated Remains label (Publication 139), which should be placed on each side of the box (including the top and at the bottom). You can purchase this Publication 139 Label ("Cremated Remains" label) at USPS online as well.

Can you ship cremated remains with UPS or FedEx?
UPS and FedEx are not legally authorized to ship cremated remains, nor will they knowingly ship cremated remains.
How much does it cost to ship cremated remains?
The cost of shipping cremated remains depends on the weight of the package and the cost of Priority Mail Express Service, which usually will start out around $27.00. While I highly recommend sending via this method, I will accept cremains that arrive by other means. Again, please make sure you use shipping instructions as recommended by USPS.
