"Bestie"
Inspired by nature, this ceramic skull statuette is full of vibrant color and intricate details. The primary color is black with bats and multi-color floral motifs that are painted across the skull, along with hearts and leaves and lively colorful accents around the entire skull. While visiting the National Aquarium in Baltimore with my best friend, I got a chance to photograph a few bats just hanging around in the Australian Exhibit (photograph is shown) and I knew I had to incorporate some cute bats to one of my skullys. My visit to this amazing place with my best friend was my inspiration for the bat skulls series.
I wanted to create a cool vibe for the front of the skull by incorporating cool tone green, gray, and blue colors. The bat on the forehead is painted in a very light blue/gray color and added medium gray lines for accents and enhance his itty bitty batty bones. To give it an edgier look, I painted the middle of the flowers in the eye sockets vibrant red instead of the traditional yellow and orange. On the back of the skull I added two bats just hanging around, just like in the image and just like two BFFs enjoying their day trip. The overall skull design is a playful combination of cool tones and a darker theme of two besties.
Each skull is painted with a lot of thought and love. I hope that by making them look so beautiful that all you see is beauty and help you remember happy memories of your loved one. One of a kind skullys, I do not duplicate designs exactly like each other. Dark, beautiful, unique gift for the bold.

Shipping Info: Each skully is wrapped in a small bubble wrap bag, and then placed in a fabric gift bag with a satin ribbon that ties to close your gift bag securely. It is then wrapped again in bubble wrap to securely protect your ceramic skully during shipment.
