I got a chance to visit Mount Olivet Cemetery in D.C. during the winter of 2017. It was already a cold, gloomy, and overcast kind of day. As I started to wrap up my trip and walk back to my car, I noticed that the sun was trying to peek through from behind the clouds. Both "Prayer" and "Broken Wing" were taken on this day, as the sun peaked out and about an hour before the sunset. I caught a lot of beautiful images in those few minutes as the sun came out from behind the clouds.
"Guadalupe” was quite the surprise and truly a treat to photograph. I came across a mausoleum with a beautiful angel on the ceiling, looking over the deceased. I took a picture of the angel, admiring the beautifully detailed wings and dress. I soon realized there was another statue inside the mausoleum that I could clearly see, so I walked closer and realized there was a weeping angel looking over the family members. It’s probably the first that I was able to see one inside very closely and clearly because of the iron gate, many times there are metal gates and I can take a glimpse inside but never a close, clear view. This was truly a beautiful sigh to see.
“Cross” was taken during the fall, on a gloomy, cold, clamp kinda day. The natural lighting wasn’t working for me, so I decided to photograph in black and white. Allegheny Cemetery is a massive historic rural cemetery which is one of the largest and oldest burial grounds in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I spent about 6 hours walking around, photographing and really soaking in the landscape and outdoor artwork. Many of these massive and very detailed stone sculptures sit on tall pillars or columns for what seems like 20’ in height. Literally these massive cemetery angels seem to touch the heavens.
I hope that my photography was able to capture what I saw and experienced on that day and that I was able to share these experience with you. More importantly, I hope that the greeting cards brighten up your day!

Each set of cards contains a backing board to help protect your cards and envelopes from bending during shipment. I use Premium Eco Clear Bags - more Clearer, Stronger, and more Crease Resistant made from plants and compostable. I use these new Premium Eco Clear Bags to replace traditional Poly bag but the sustainability of a Eco-Friendly product.
Postal Service Priority Mail products and First-Class packages may require more time to be delivered due to limited transportation availability as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. From personal experience, I’ve shipped First Class Packages and half of them are receiving in 3 business days while the other half have taken up to two weeks to receive.
Priority Mail’s two-day and three-day service commitments will be extended to three days and four days, respectively. Customers will continue to receive product tracking.
